Methods of Urea Fertilizer Application Influence Growth, Yield, and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Transplanted Aman Rice

Although urea placed deep reduces nitrogen (N) loss and increases rice yield, its use is not expanding due to the lack of effective application methods. A study was carried out determine how different techniques affected yield efficiency (NUE) transplanted Aman (cv. BRRI dhan46). The experiment set up in a RCBD design with seven treatments: T1 (deep placement briquettes (DPUB) by hand), T2 (DPUB battery-powered applicator), T3 prilled (PU) T4 injector T5 push-type T6 (broadcast PU), T7 (zero-N), three replications. Findings showed that NH4+-N concentration field water peaked on day 3 then rapidly fell as time passed, while NO3−-N soil minimal. reported highest grain total N content uptake, whereas had lowest values. On T1, apparent recovery reached level (73.5%). NUE varied from 13.26% 29.38% T1. Based this finding, briquette hand recommended for increasing T. rice.
